The Witcher 3, despite its incredible reputation, was not a flawless action RPG. Even after release, loyal fans recognized that the combat left a lot to be desired.

In a recent interview, The Witcher 4 game director Sebastian Kalemba was asked about what specific gameplay elements from the latest installment the team considered weak. He was quick to point out that gameplay and the monster hunting experience are key areas that need major improvements.

“We want to improve the gameplay and the monster hunting experience.”

According to the game director, The Witcher 4 trailer shown should convey a sense of the gravity and power of fighting monsters. This applies to the choreography and emotional charge.

A major overhaul of combat is expected in The Witcher 4, but fans will be happy to know that CDPR is well aware of the areas that need the most improvements over past Witcher games. These same improvements will likely be implemented in future games as well, as Ciri will be the main character of the new trilogy.

Moreover devs  planned to include Triss's wedding in the game. In Witcher 3, the Ashen Marriage mission was supposed to happen in Novigrad. In the narrative, Triss develops feelings for Castello and desires to wed him as soon as feasible. In this tale, Geralt assists with the wedding preparations by clearing the canals of monsters, obtaining booze, and selecting a present for the bride.
