Crossroads of the World, the first DLC, will be made available in two installments in March. Players will take charge of both Great Britain and Carthage in the first stage, where they will also encounter Ada Lovelace, a computer pioneer and new leader. Three weeks later, the second phase will begin, presenting Simon Bolivar as a leader and Bulgaria and Nepal as new civilizations.

Two more leaders, along with four new civilizations and natural wonders, will be added in the upcoming DLC Right to Rule, which will be released in the second or third quarter of 2025 (April to September).

Firaxis promises to expand and improve the game in a number of ways, such as adding new challenges and events. In March, new in-game events and natural wonders like the Bermuda Triangle and Everest will be added.

The PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC will all get Civilization 7. On February 6, owners of the Deluxe and Founders Edition will have access five days early. On the day of release, a zero-day patch will also be made available.

Firaxis Games and publisher 2K claim that Sid Meier's turn-based 4X strategy game, Civilization VII, has become a gold standard. This indicates that the main development of the game is complete and that there won't be any more delays in its release, barring any unforeseen circumstances.

The most recent installment in the well-known series will be released on February 11. Steam Deck has confirmed that the game will be available on all modern platforms.
