Completely unexpectedly, early gameplay footage of the next installment of Fable was revealed during the Official Xbox Podcast. 

The video showcases various locations in the game world, the combat system, several types of enemies, and a snippet of a cutscene. The iconic chicken kick also makes an appearance.  

Earlier, the head of Xbox Game Studios confirmed that Fable had to be delayed – from 2025 to 2026. The reason cited is the standard need for additional polish and refinement of the game. 

The reboot of the iconic series was announced on July 23, 2020, and since then, very little has been revealed about the game. Three years after the announcement, it became clear that Fable was still in the early stages of development. 

Given that the main developer, Playground Games, required assistance from Eidos Montreal, as well as the fact that polished gameplay footage has been absent for a long time, the game clearly has significant issues.
