Epic Games representatives released a brief post detailing upcoming changes to Fortnite's Battle Pass system, aiming to make it simpler for casual players. Progress will now be unified across all Battle Passes, so you will experience from various game modes and it will go towards level progression. This ensures players can unlock rewards no matter which mode they play.

Such changes will first apply to the Music Pass this Saturday, and then to LEGO on December 1. Battle Passes will feature a single progression track with both free and premium rewards, and Festival Points, Battle Stars, and Studs will be phased out. However, to access all bonuses, players will still need to buy the full version of each pass. But now it will be much harder to mix everything up, and players won't have to sacrifice the fun from playing their favourite mode in order to earn the desired item.

In August, Epic Games announced that certain Battle Pass items could eventually be bought in the store — but only a year and a half after the season concludes.
