Larian promised, Larian delivered. The seventh major patch for Baldur's Gate 3 is live on PC, with the console and Mac versions set to launch in October.

One of the major new additions includes updated cinematic endings for evil characters, featuring additional dialogues and cutscenes. The patch also introduces official mod support, allowing players to access an in-game mod manager to install and manage mods created by the community. Modders can now develop more advanced and comprehensive expansions for the game.

Larian has also added an option in Steam to skip the seventh patch for Baldur's Gate 3, which was released on September 5. Players who wish to can remain on the previous version, for instance, to maintain compatibility with mods. The developers announced this in their social media.

To remain on the sixth patch, players need to go to the properties of Baldur's Gate 3, select the Beta tab, and choose the release_patch6_hf9 option.

The developers added this option based on player feedback, allowing modded games to continue functioning until mods support the latest build. Additionally, cross-saves do not currently work on the seventh patch, as the update has not yet been released for consoles.

Although Larian is gradually saying goodbye to their creation, they are ensuring that players have a smooth and convenient experience.
