The role, Naughty Dog said in an official announcement, is to create engaging stories, authentic dialog and environmental storytelling that will enhance the gameplay of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The selected writers will work closely with the Director of Narrative to deliver a cinematic and interactive experience that reflects Naughty Dog's distinctive style.

Tasks include creating the story of the game world, writing dynamic dialog and quests that integrate the main story with secondary content.

The work will also require close collaboration with other departments at Naughty Dog to ensure the narrative is cohesive and maximizes the open world of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. While the main plot seems to be hinted at, the focus now shifts to expanding the universe to include side quests and environment details.

The teaser for the new game, titled Intergalactic The Heretic Prophet, was very atmospheric and rich in detail. The trailer blends space-age technology with a retro vibe. If we were to pinpoint one source that evokes the strongest associations, it would be the legendary anime Cowboy Bebop: bounty hunters, space, and great music (the trailer featured the song It's a Sin by Pet Shop Boys and the game score will be written by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails).

More details are still unknown, as is the potential release window for the game, but what we've seen so far sets a very positive tone. At the very least, the game will certainly have a cool style.
