The life simulator inZOI has been tested not only on traditional PCs but also on Steam Deck. Some enthusiasts have attempted to play inZOI on Valve’s portable device, and while it is possible, there are important considerations to keep in mind.
A YouTuber named Deck Wizard demonstrated the process of tweaking the game for Steam Deck compatibility. First, you need to locate the "GameUserSetting.ini" file and change the value in the line "FullscreenMode = 0" to "1." This adjustment ensures the game runs properly in fullscreen mode.
Before launching the game, make sure that "GE Proton9 -26" is selected in the Steam properties for inZOI. As for the in-game settings, the content creator recommends setting both the target and maximum frame rate to 30 FPS. Additionally, dynamic resolution should be enabled, while ray tracing and motion blur should be turned off. All graphics settings should be set to "very low," and TSR-based anti-aliasing is advised for better performance.
However, there is currently a significant issue with saving progress in inZOI on Steam Deck. During save operations, the game experiences a sharp spike in RAM usage, which can lead to potential data loss and jeopardize your progress. Players should remain cautious and frequently back up their saves if possible.
