We knew that the PC port of The Last of Us Part II was going to be only a matter of time. So, we wanted to know the exact date, and we got it during the tenth The Game Awards. A remaster of the game, which will be purchasable on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, will be released on April 3, 2025.

It will also feature additional content: a "roguelite" mode and levels that were cut from the original game. The port was developed by two studios: Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy Studios. Both teams specialize in porting Sony console titles to PC.

However, there is one big problem that many players across the globe would still have. To run the updated version on PC, users will need to sign in with a PlayStation Network account. This mention appeared in digital stores. So, many regions will simply be locked out of the opportunity. We're not even asking: "Why, Sony, why?". We're past that stage and now can only sigh and shake our heads.

Originally, the action game was released in 2020 exclusively for PS4. It received very high praise from critics and won numerous awards at prestigious ceremonies, including the GOTY at The Game Awards.
