Thursday is Valve's favorite day to release major updates for games. The developers explain that this is because Steam traditionally experiences lower traffic on that day, making the distribution of patches more efficient. On November 7, Deadlock received another big update.

Balance changes affected 17 core heroes, the removal of Soul Rebirth from the game, and a myriad of various fixes and improvements, which we won’t go into detail about — there's a large changelog for that. However, let’s highlight some important points.

First, a new hero, Trapper, was added to Hero Labs. This is going to be a rather annoying character, as his abilities are mostly focused on slowing down opponents, and his ultimate summons spiders that attack the enemy. Arachnophobes are definitely not going to be fans of Trapper.

Second, Guardians now behave like towers in Dota 2, meaning they will switch their aggro to an enemy hero if that hero is within the Guardian's attack range and is shooting at them. However, unlike in Dota 2, where you can reset tower aggro by attacking your own units, this trick won't work so easily in Deadlock.

Third, Deadlock now supports Steam game recording system, including automatic timeline markers. This is a feature that many will likely appreciate.

Although the overall online player count for Deadlock is declining, development on the game is still moving forward actively.
