Sometimes miracles do happen, and those who have waited a long time finally get what they've been hoping for. Valve has released a new comic for the team-based shooter Team Fortress 2. Information about the unexpected content drop appeared on the official game website.

The new Team Fortress 2 comic is titled The Days Have Worn Away. This is the seventh numbered issue and the 29th release overall, including event and thematic stories. It has been seven years since the last TF2 comic was released in 2017.

The developers at Valve joked about the situation, comparing the creation of this work to the construction of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They humorously noted that all the people who started working on that Italian structure didn’t live to see its completion, while Team Fortress 2 players only had to wait "just" seven years.

The comic itself is quite rich and neatly wraps up the storyline. There is a very high likelihood that there won't be another issue. This was hinted at by Erik Wolpaw, who posted a very telling tweet on X about "the very last meeting for the Team Fortress 2 comic." At least players have received some closure to the story and a touch of Christmas spirit.
