In the modern era, to hide projects without them being leaked online, is incredibly hard. The existence of the PS5 Pro was known to many people for quite some time. Luckily, today, Sony hosted a short stream. Mark Cerny, the lead architect of the PS5, presented the upgraded gaming console. The design closely resembled the version that had leaked online earlier, and many of the other rumors about technical specifications were also confirmed.

But let's give the floor to Sony. In their minds, the top priority goal of this project is to offer players the option to play more frequently in high-frame-rate modes, as this is what most people prefer. Among other improvements, the newest device has a more powerful graphics chip, enhanced ray tracing support, and the image scaling technology PSSR. During the stream, Sony showed in-game differences between older and newer editions of PS5, so you can judge yourselves.

The PS5 Pro is priced at $700 or €800, depending on the region, with sales starting on November 7. Despite such a high price, it is by default shipped without an ability to read disks. However, buyers will have the option to purchase an external drive separately. It is also important to mention that the Pro edition is compatible with all existing PS5 accessories.
