Sony's presentation of the PS5 Pro, priced at $700 in the U.S. and €800 in Europe, has sparked a wave of reactions online as users shared their impressions of the announcement.

Many negative reviews about the console, particularly regarding its high price, have surfaced on social media and YouTube. Consumers were disappointed by Sony's decision to increase the console's price and to sell it without an included disc drive or a vertical stand.

Social media users expressed frustration not only over the price but also with the presentation led by Mark Cerny. Viewers were particularly unimpressed by Sony showcasing the PS5 Pro's capabilities using games that had originally launched on the PS4. Additionally, some users felt the graphical differences between the PS5 and PS5 Pro were not significant enough to justify the upgrade.

However, not all reactions were negative. Entrepreneur Matthew Ball noted that $700 is a fair price for the PS5 Pro. In his view, Sony is specifically targeting dedicated fans with this release in order to boost profits. He believes the company's goal with the PS5 Pro isn't to expand its user base.

PS5 Pro will be launched this November, so we'll have to wait only a couple of months before first sales figures will be out.
