You know what’s great about esports? It never stops—every single day, you can find an exciting tournament to watch. Right now, in Dota 2, we have PGL Wallachia Season 3 underway.
It’s interesting how so many tournaments have started using the Swiss system for the group stage—it really adds an extra layer of intrigue. However, when it comes to the first two teams securing their playoff spots, there were no surprises. Team Liquid and Team Spirit, the champions of the last two The Internationals, comfortably advanced. Team Liquid dropped only one map out of seven, while the Dragons went completely undefeated.

Tomorrow, Tundra Esports and Team Falcons are likely to join them. Gaimin Gladiators also have a solid chance, as they’re set to face Aurora, who are playing with a stand-in. That said, even if a team loses, they’ll still get another opportunity to qualify.
A quick reminder: the playoffs will follow a Double Elimination format, and the teams are battling for a $1 million prize pool in Romania.
