Valve's new game, Deadlock, attracted nearly 17,000 peak users on the night of August 12th. According to SteamDB, this is the best result for the MOBA game to date. Moreover, the game's online presence has been steadily growing since the beginning of the month.

We are in an interesting position. Valve has yet to officially announce Deadlock, but testing for the game has already begun. It appears that in August, the developers started actively granting access to the MOBA to new users. Each participant can freely invite friends on Steam to join the testing. This is presumably the main reason for the significant increase in the game's online activity.

Moreover, because the game is not announced, players are not allowed to shared any details. Yet, there are lots of different leaks and rumours surrounding the game.

Deadlock is a MOBA shooter that is often compared to Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2. The official release date of the game is still unknown. It is possible that we will see the announcement at the Gamescom 2024 that will occur next week in Cologne.
