Valve has filed a trademark application for "Deadlock" with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Blogger Tyler McVicker among the first noticed this.
Valve submitted the application on May 30, 2024. It is likely that the company is preparing for a game announcement, which, according to forecasts, could take place at the Summer Game Fest 2024 presentation. Valve is one of the event's partners. Previously, they also filed the application for the "Neon Prime" trademark. However, it seems like the company changed the title.
Numerous leaks from the closed alpha testing of a team-based shooter indicate an imminent announcement of Deadlock. The amount of data on the net is enormous: not only have there been screenshots or information about heroes, but somehow, one of the testers leaked a build of the game, which was possible to run.
Valve has been fully silent (as they usually do), so no comments about Deadlock, and nothing is done about the leaks.
